Handmade Natural Soaps

Mary Ellen Quaine has been making and selling natural soaps since 1996, when her daughter started having skin reactions to the harsh chemicals in antibacterial soaps. She makes he soaps in small batches in her log cabin home in Lapeer, stirring soaps by hand at low temperature to protect the nutrients in the oil. The result is a gentle, moisturizing bars that is naturally rich in existing glycerin.
All of Mary Ellen’s soaps are made with locally-sourced goat’s milk, saponified olive oil, coconut oil and sustainable palm oil—and are free of artificial preservatives, colorants, detergents and chemicals. She uses pure essential oils and some natural fragrance oils to give the soaps their sweet scents.

We have a wide variety of scents, including Michigan wilderness, Mackinaw Island Lilac and Red Clover, minted rosemary, Upper Peninsula cedarwood, lemon ginger, clove vanilla, lemon lavender, patchouli and more!
